New MODA Hexagons Made Easy Kits

New MODA Hexagons Made Easy Kits

on Nov 22, 2014 in Blog, fabric stash, Kits, quilt, website | 0 comments

New Kits are HERE!   I’ve decided to mix up the selection a bit for my Hexagons Made Easy workshops. Happy to announces the Wishes by Sweetwater MODA Fabric Kits are here! Hooray! Hooray! You can grab one right now, over in the shop. This is what 30 un-assembled kits look like. Oh, bolts are so beautiful. Only thing lovelier might be those pre-cut hexagons. This is how kit making goes: Fold. Fold. Sort. Count. Fold. Layer. …shoot, where are the baggies…. Oh. Fold. Stuff. Count. Sort.   Like the other fabric kit, which is blues & purples by Art Gallery Fabrics, there is enough fabric in the kit to really mix up the project ideas as well. In the workshop we focus on the technique & brainstorm original design creations. The workshop is loosely based on the project in Hexagons Made Easy: Hexagon Wheel pg 42.   Wanna see fabrics in the pre-cut honeycomb stack? Sweetwater really knows how to make some fun fabrics.   I’ll see you at the next Hexagons Made Easy workshop. Hook this...

Sorry for the big lag in the blog posts…. The website was enjoying a trip to the spa. It had a mud facial, hot stone massage, template update and virus scan. You know, all the things that finer websites enjoy. Big thanks to Heather at Sites on Main for her excellent work and expertise! Hold on to your hats, though. I’ve got some blog posts coming your way this coming week! Don’t forget, you can always see what is going on at the ReannaLily Designs FB page. Hook this...

Can I just tell you how much I love my website gal?? With in a short bit, she’s got it all installed and ready to go for my tutorial-heavy site. I’m happy to report that now you can print any of the tutorials on this site, for personal use. Hooray! Follower Friday at GenX Quilters

Follower Friday at GenX Quilters

on Jun 10, 2011 in Blog, blogging others, sewing, website | 0 comments

I seem to be quite absent this week. I’m settling back into work-ish stuff and summer with my 3 “office assistants”. I have been sewing. Mostly making some play shorts for the kids and, the American Girl Dolls. Yeh. Matchy-matchy shorts. Nothing too exciting. I’ve updated the “timeline” on the about me page of this website. Time consuming, but not really “breaking news”. I’m also sewing on a very big exciting project with 4 other bloggy friends. It will be a quilt-along. I’ll be able to tell you more about it next week. Just know, its modern, fun, and pretty quick. Clear off the calendar for July & get your flickr account ready. It is going to be a hoot! Speaking of bloggy friends, Anne Marie over at Gen X Quilters has featured me as her Follower Friday today. It was a fun interview with all sorts of bits about me. Go check it out! She runs a fun blog with plenty sewing/quilting related projects. She’s also the prez of the Columbus, Ohio chapter of the MQG. Love it! Hook this...

NEW e-Patterns

NEW e-Patterns

on Feb 23, 2011 in Blog, business, pattern, website | 0 comments

If you’ve looked around the new website/blog you’ll see all sorts of shopping options. One thing I’m happy to bring directly to you are my e-Patterns. Many of these patterns also are available as a traditional paper option as well. You can find a list of the e-Patterns by clicking Patterns->Downloadable e-Patterns to see the selection. If you don’t see your favorite title listed in the e-Pattern section, hopefully it will be there soon. I have been sewing and writing like a mad woman! To celebrate the launch of the new site and the e-Patterns, I’m offering two NEW titles exclusively in e-Pattern (pdf) format! Let me tell you about them. Boondoggle Bag (RD2032) It is a small 7″ x 8″ finished bag; perfect for those quick weekend get-aways. It is available as an e-Pattern or as a pre-cut KIT. The kit features US Army fabric and Amy Butler printed cotton. A Novel Quilt (RD2033) This new quilt is based on the “stacked books” block commonly found in many modern quilt designs. The finished quilt is a good lap size, perfect for cuddling up on the couch with a great novel. It is available as an e-Pattern or as a KIT. The kit features Modern Complements line of printed cottons and Solid Linen White (Pure Elements) by Art Gallery Fabrics. The KIT also has a recycled uniform option, where one of the prints is replaced with a same-sized piece of military uniform to use in your design. You will need Adobe Reader to view any of the e-Patterns purchased in the shop. You can download that free from the Adobe site, here. Hook this...
