Hexagons Made Easy Quilting

on Jan 24, 2013 in Blog, Hexagons Made Easy, Longarm Quilting Gallery, quilting, sketches | 0 comments

Hexagons Made Easy includes techniques for making quick hexagon projects. It also includes quilting ideas and methods for drafting your own quilting designs. I’m happy to report that there are 16 quilting motifs included and a sketch template for you to copy and doodle-up some of your own free motion quilting design fills.

It started with a series of pencil sketches that were then traced with a heavy blue sharpie.

I sketched, scanned and emailed the designs just like you see above. The amazing graphics people at Martingale then waived their magic wands to produce nice professional quilting designs complete with smooth stitching lines and symmetry. I’m pretty sure it was a magic wand….

Close up quilting photos are also included in Hexagons Made Easy. I think that really helps visualize what the projects will look like, in real life. Sometimes “Quilt As Desired” just isn’t enough to go on.

See all the quilting ideas and let your creativity go nuts in the new book Hexagons Made Easy, by Jen Eskridge, published by Martingale Press.
