When you think of brown, orange, yellow and off-white, do you think of 1976? Or maybe ALL of the 70’s? Or maybe you just remember the shag carpet….
The quilt name is inspired by the color-way of the cover quilt. The modern, minimal design is easy to create and simple to?maintain clean design lines.
The pattern is filled with endless possibilities. Make the six required bars and maximize your fabric usage OR make any assortment of bars and design a unique original quilt. (pictured below) It is a Pandora’s box of design ideas. Once you start making bars, you’ll be hooked!
This pattern will teach you how to make perfect semi-circle ends to fabric bars. The concept builds on ideas originally published in my book, Learn to Sew Easy Curves.
This pattern also includes a brief tutorial for the quilting design used in the finished cover quilt. You’ll practice making swirls and spikes by tracing a design provided in the 1976 Baby Quilt pattern.
