Longarm Quilting on Dresden Quilt Blocks
Quilting Hooks on Dresden Plate Quilt Blocks
My friends and I are working on a scrappy Dresden plate block quilt. Each of us made a few blocks and joined them. The video above, features the machine quilting steps.
I didn’t find much online about quilting within the Dresden flower itself. There are loads of tutorials and videos for making the Dresden block and appliqueing it to the background fabric. Luckily, my mom suggested the hooks. They are much more interesting than my “loop” idea.
I worked with my mom to quilt hooks into the Dresden points and she did the background meander fill.
The quilt will be donated to MD Anderson’s 2015 Quilt Auction in honor of Granny-a-Go-Go.
