The Quilts of Learn To Sew Easy Curves

Remember, as you read- Learn To Sew Easy Curves is a book based on a facing technique which allows you to sew a facing fabric to a curved shape and applique it into your design. Everything you see is NOT curved piecing.

The quilts featured in Learn to Sew Easy Curves give you options. You are given a pattern with directions on how to create a unique quilt, similar to the one pictured. The curves are hand-drawn and will vary a bit. The book gives you tips on how to get consistent curved shapes for more exact designs and projects.

The book offers quick projects for last minute gifts. You can make the quilt (pictured above) in the sizes and dimensions provided or take the technique and simplicity and make it your own by making longer wider quilt. The book offers this quilt shown in a few different color variations, thanks to my quilty friend, Beth Helfter.

Learn to Sew Easy Curves not only gives you blocks to work on to create and “over all curved” design but also shows you how you can strip-piece these curves. That means you make curved rows, stacked upon each other, then cut that row into the pieces you need for the design. ((You’ll see traditional strip-pieced designs in patterns like the Irish Chain and Basic 9-Patch block.))

The possibilities are endless, and these are just a few of the projects. Stay tuned!
