The Ticker Tape Quilted Bird

on Oct 26, 2012 in Blog, quilt | 16 comments

I am finishing up a quilted gift. It is a ticker tape style quilt, in the shape of a bird. The bird silhouette was an image off google, which I then? hand-drew onto linen. I traced the outline with that embroidery running stitch. The whole piece is only 15″ square and will likely be turned into a pillow. It is a very quick little project and uses up a tiny bit of scraps.

So now the big question:? To whom will I be giving the BIRD to this holiday season???? bwhahahahahah.

Sorry about the lighting quality in these posts. One image is dark and “instagram-esque” and the other picture seems quite over exposed.? I suppose I shouldn’t snap photos in the house without daylight.
