Million Pillowcase Challenge
I’m joining the challenge. More accurately, the SAMQG is joining the challenge as part of our charitable efforts. I considered stitching up some of the yardage I own, on many occasions. I guess I just needed that extra push to get it done. Not only did they announce the challenge at the evening meeting, but that very next day the pattern for the APQ Pillowcase showed up in my facebook feed. It was a sign I tell you!
These pillowcases, all 8, are made from Art Gallery Fabrics. The prints are from some of the older lines, including Girlie Girl. Then of course, there are blenders mixed in as well.
I was grabbing fabrics willy-nilly to use up some of my AGF stash. The prints might not be the perfect quilt-pallet combination, as they are stitched here, but they will make some GREAT pillowcases.
Why 8 pillowcases? Well, that was the amount of fabric I had to cut this morning. And I was able to blast through sewing them, since I did it all on my serger. I’d be surprised if the whole thing took me an hour to do. It feels great knowing I can give these over to someone who needs them.
