Elephant Buddies

I’d like to introduce you to a new little fabric collection for the littlest man in your life.  It’s called Elephant Buddies and is currently available on Spoonflower.com.

The test swatches have arrived all safe and sound the the collection looks super peaceful and fun.  Perfect for the NON-floral, NON-pink nursery.

I’m usually a bright bold color with all sorts of chunky-shapes kind of fabric girl.  But I really wanted to try something different.  Of course, this all stemmed from the Michael Miller Spoonflower contest last year.  The challenge was to make a baby boy themed print.  I gave it a go and I do think it turned out just how I pictured it.  The colors are pale, but not boring and the grey is just soft enough.

I even made a few digital mock-ups of how the fabric might be used.  Quilts, of course.  But general toddler bedding would be great. Crib sized sheets are very quick to make from 2 yards of fabric.  Prints framed in a Khaki room, very fun.  (I’m a huge fan of framing fabric.)  Heck, you can even recover some of your existing baby items to give it a fresh new look- like the Nursing Pillow – below.

So that is what I have to share with you today.  I hope you enjoy it and pass it along to whomever you might know with a wee little guy.

The colors are perfect! I’m a bright lover too, but I can’t wait to make a quilt with this. Thank you.

It’s a good thing my son can’t see the elephants (he’s asleep on my lap), or he’d be trying to grab them. I love the fabrics!
