Military Monster Bags- Finished
Whooo- I was sewing and sewing and sewing and sewing.
And I’m thrilled to report that I’ve finished these two lovely bags a couple days early!
The clients picked out their fabrics and mailed me flight suits. In one case, her husband’s flight suit, and in the other, the flight suit was the one she wore when she was pregnant. I {heart} recycling uniforms.
I have to say, the brown desert flight looks awesome with those pinks. I’m loving what she’s picked out.
And I’m a total sucker for diagonal stripes. It makes quilting binding WAY more interesting (since you don’t actually have to cut the binding on the bias.) When I saw that she picked it for the lining I was thrilled! It is so bright. Both of these fabrics are from Joann’s, in case you were wondering.
And the green flight suit bag- It is so subtle and still fabulous. I love how you see blue and purple when you look at the fabrics- but really, there is just enough (of the exact same green) in the cotton to match the flight suit.
I wanted to get a picture of the bag from a different angle… but the photo above makes the bag look smaller than it actually is. I tell ya, this bag is a MONSTER. =)
The pattern for this bag, and 8 other fun bags, are in Deploy That Fabric.
Now, I’m off to see outside again in between loads of laundry. Lordy Pete, I know how to have fun!

Jen, these are so cute! Or gorgeous if you prefer. Either way, I love them.
[...] Miss fabrics up here in Kansas. The bag is coming along nicely. Her finished bag will be in the Military Monster style. I’ll have pictures to share [...]
