Deploy That Fabric – Cataloged
It’s here! Um… the catalog, that is… It is all feeling so real. With less than a week before my NYC Book Signing trip, my little book is already in the C&T Publishing catalog! The catalog was released at the Salt Lake City Quilt Market last weekend. Not only is it in print, but it is on the C&T Website! Even Amazon has the cover image on their site now! Oh man, these are exciting times. Y’all, I have an ISBN number!! (Yes, I know the N stands for number. Just like UPC code… I know.) I cannot wait to see the book in person.
Not sure you can see the small thumbnails in the catalog page above-? They showcase 3 of the projects in the book. The quilt on the far left was made by my friend Leigh (US Army Active, Spouse at Ft. Hood)? and the stocking on the far right was made by my friend Debbie (USAF, Retired, spouse, at Altus AFB)? Pretty cool, right?
I’m so thrilled to be able to share my designs and my “how I did its” with everyone! Big thanks to C&T for giving me a shot. And a big thanks to the military service members and their families who inspired the projects. I cannot believe I wrote a book.
See that little bag in the screen shot above?? I don’t think I’ve mentioned to ya, yet. It is a green messenger bag with my quilt image on the messenger flap of the bag! The bag is made entirely of recycled plastic bottles and is very eco friendly. It is like – DOUBLE RECYCLED. I love that. The quilt featured on the bag is the same one on the cover of the book.
And if you signed up to receive the newsletter, or if you browse my newsletter archives, you’ll see the Countdown Calendars book in there. I’m a contributing designer for that collaboration book. Hopefully there will be a give-away right here on the blog for that title, soon. And I’ll be able to share more about my calendar then. Just know- it totally has military uniforms in it. =)
I can’t wait to tell you more about each project in the book and the book writing process. Stay tuned! In the mean time….
I’ve got to get back to work! Sewing two flight suit bags today… similar to this one. More pics to follow. Hopefully they’ll be finished before the NYC trip. Thanks again for all your support!
Feel free to link the post, or the book or share on Facebook!
