Prairie Quilt Guild- Standing Room Only
Here in Kansas, we’ve had some weather in January and February. Nothing to get panicky about, but it did happen to snow on quilt guild day, TWICE. (Which is crazy, can’t it just snow the day AFTER quilt guild??? Come on…)
Anywhoo, the March meeting was the first meeting since early December. I think every quilter came out of the woodwork just to attend in the rain. AND this is only the “afternoon” meeting. Our traditional quilt guild is so large (800+ members) that they actually have an afternoon and an evening meeting. (Both are about the same size) I was in the very back of the room, snappin’ shots with the iPhone.
And today was the meeting where all the challenge quilts were revealed. The membership voted on the over 35 entries. In the picture above, you can see the top row of quilts displayed, there’s still a a BUNCH of wall-hanging sized quilts hidden from view. Our large group as an amazing amount of talented ladies. I’ll have to post again in April to let you know the 12 challenge winners. *hopefully with pictures*
