Wichita Modern Quilt Guild Committee Chairs

As the organizer of the WMQG, I’m looking to get some committee chairs to volunteer for various positions. Of course, I have a slightly warped sense of humor and I like to sew…

These two sentences DO go together ->

Yes, we already have volunteers for our SWAP Chair and our WEB chair …get it??… And I’m hoping for a “sew-in or workshop day” chair and maybe a “field trip” chair.

Goodness. I need to get out more.

But what do you think? Funny, no?



Each CHAIR mini-quilt is about 7 1/2″ x 4″. We’ll see what the group thinks tomorrow.

The chair is not my design, but I’ve seen it a few times on flickr and about the webs. I made them completely from scraps and absolutely improv pieced with no real measuring or planning- well, until the end when I squared them up to be about the same size.

    I'll be the sew-in & workshop day chair… maybe monthly sewing chair or saturday sew chair or hmm… extra curricular sewing chair. :-P But someone else can have the opportunity to volunteer first too since I'm already a chair of something.

    May your chairs soon be filled. Worst part of setting up a guild, I am sure, but I know you are up to the challenge!
